Introducing the newest BDD pattern, the Options Shorts & Pants. This pattern includes the classic look, short rows/gusset style but with some new mods as requested. It can be used all by itself or you can combine parts of the other 2 patterns with this one to make even more styles easily!

The sizing has been enlarged slightly for a better fit on chunky babes & older children.

Separate charts & instructions for both worsted/aran weight wool *and* light bulky/bulky weight. Have you been buying Bulky BFL & Gaia like mad but not knitting it because you don't want to do the math & rewrite your own pattern? Here ya go and ladies, it knits up so fast!

The anticipated elastic waistband! Your choice of regular fully enclosed elastic or *adjustable buttonhole elastic*. You can really knit a pair of pants that will grow with your child now--easy up and down & no drawstring to constantly tie or lose. NO SEWING or SEAMING, this is a flush, fully enclosed waistband that lays flat & comfortably around your little one's waist.

This pattern is great for potty trained toddlers who just want some styling "squishy pants" as my daughter calls them. Are you having trouble letting go, still feeling the urge to stockpile diapers & woolies even though your toddler has conquered the potty? I'm an enabler, knit some sweet pants for your big girl or boy!

This is an intermediate level pattern written in a conversational tone. If you've knit my other patterns this is similar but with a little more structure.

Required materials--worsted, aran or bulky weight wool yarn, several stitch markers, 2 short stitch holders (or waste yarn), 1 size 5 12 or 16" circular, one size 7 or 8 16" circular and a 12" circular for the legs (although you can work with a longer needle in magic loop or DPN's if you can't track down an elusive 12"), 2 DPN's to match body needle size, one size 5 DPN & a yarn needle.

I'm selling this pattern on the honor system. You may knit for personal & charity use. You may also knit items from it in your own home for sale, it is not intended for manufacturing, but for WAHM use. Please give credit somewhere in your listing to me for designing the pattern. I do NOT require purchase of a cottage industry license. I DO ask that you do not copy, share or distribute my pattern instructions (which includes posting it or parts of it anywhere on the internet, it's only available through email from me). I am able to stay home with my kids by knitting and designing and this pattern took many hours of writing and testing. I am not responsible for the finished product as sold by another WAHM using my pattern, every knitter has their own techniques & style.
